Stowaway Heart

Had titled this 'Landmarks'
but I think I like Stowaway Heart as a much better title♫
I enjoy this blog hop....check out other blogs featuring the letter S!

or an alternative is to see my duplicate blog Heartoons which has a better player...

Stowaway Heart

1. I never noticed that mailbox before.
When did that new house appear?
This road that leads to your door, open wide
Has been filled with landmarks so clear.

I could see only potholes before me
And treacherous forks as my lot
But now I have noticed landmarks with new eyes
And found a stowaway heart.

Refrain
Landmarks are goldmines
as I make my way to your door
Focused am I now that I found
The one whom I adore.

2. I used to turn to the left into crowds
To find myself to be lost.
I seem to see only squall lines of rain
Full of doubts and qualms, all across.

I could see only potholes before me
And treacherous forks as my lot
But now I have noticed landmarks with new eyes
And found a stowaway heart.

Refrain

I could see only potholes before me
And treacherous forks as my lot
But now I have noticed landmarks with new eyes
And found a stowaway heart.

  1. Simply lovely words and music! Does anyone actually sing these songs? It would be nice to hear the lyrics performed.

    1. At this point, no....I spent $$$ in a studio and had my daughter perform quite a few, but she went off to college and is happily embarking on her own career...so I decided to throw my stuff 'out there' and see what came back. Perhaps an opportunity will arise that opens more doors....I'm on Twitter, FB, Good Reads, etc and you never know if someone is looking for tunes...Maybe Lindsay Lohan will revive her singing career♫♪

  3. I think this one might be my favorite.

    I love these lyrics.

And the rhythm and poignancy of the words.

I hope an artist picks these up. Everything about your work is splendid.

    A+
