Fooling Time

I'm enjoying going through the alphabet, featuring songs I've written.  Missed last week since I was on a road trip.  And this is a bit late since I had a lot of catch up when I returned...This is an entry for Alphabe-Thursday

I try fooling time,

Put off til tomorrow all my dreams I will follow.

I can fool your mind,

Faking comes so easily, I fool you all the time.

1. Am I

destined to be

Something I don’t wanna be?

Will I lead a life ordinare,

lost in all humanity?

Worse yet find myself so famous

I can’t find tranquility.

Best bet is to face the future

Rushing me so rapidly.

O who’s to say

Which path leads to my destiny?

And who’s to tell

Which horizon will catch my eye?

2. Are you

The one for me

Who I’ll trust implicitly?

Will we be the extraordinaire

Standing out with surety?

Conversations

1. All my conversations take place in my head.

Many conversations are words left unsaid.

Carried on from time to time as I hear new cues.

All the conversations help me define my blues.

I am fascinated with how words are all used.

This is an entry for the letter U for ABC Wednesday, and I concede it's a bit of a cheat since the U isn't a full word.  Hope you like the tune though....

1. How did I get in this position?

I’ve no excuse for my condition.

I won’t look into your eyes for fear

My heart will be revealed.

2. I cannot say aloud your name

I fear you’ll see the stake that you’ve claimed.

I can’t extend that one simple touch

For fear I’ll give away too much.

Shower

This is a poem I just entered in a contest which reflects recent events of my son and daughter-in-law's experience....I was to use the word SHOWER as the title.

So, the previous owner

Had the gall!

Of patching the ceiling

When the master bath

Erupted and spewed water below,

Repairing it just enough…

Resulting in another

Eruption when I stepped into the stall

Watering my newly carpeted

Office designated area!!

How inconsiderate!

Some house! But it’s mine now♫
