Your Days Are Numbered

A heavy instrumental of dire warnings:
Participating in Alphabe-Thursday letter Y
and Inspire Me Monday...click on the links and join in♫

1. Your Days are numbered.
No matter where you stand
Or how you stand or why you stand,
I know it’s crossed your mind,
That your days are numbered.

Oh, you have made your plans
And if you can, you’ll never have
To bother thinking that it’s
Your days that are numbered.

Chorus:
So open up you eyes and maybe you will realize
The Lord is in your life,
And He has your number.

Your Days Are Numbered (2X)

2. Try to remember.
You think that life’s a pain
And there is nothing to be gained.
Your problems overwhelm and
You can’t remember.

Oh days are speeding by,
And if you think of it you’ll try
To spend some perfect time,
But it’s your days that are numbered.

Chorus:

Your Days Are Numbered (5X)

3. You’re not to surrender
So just make up your mind to view
Your journey’s end is new.
The Word will give your cue,
So do not surrender.

You can persevere
And you will be inspired still,
And you will be relieved
That your days are numbered.

Keep opening your eyes, and now you can realize
The Lord is in your life,
And He has your number.

(mixed)
He has your number. (6X)
(Your days are numbered) (6X)

Not sure if it is an admonishment or an encouragement to Get Right with God, but this Age of Grace has to be nearer to its end than its beginning♫

Silky smooth talker
Phones you with the op.
To get in quick,
  Make your money thick
A chance that’s unique,
(He knows what makes you weak.)
Your questions, he has answers
He’ll even stop you
To give you his reference number.
Check it out at your convenience.
(Knowing all the while, it’ll never be researched.)
He’ll get back to you within the week.
This opportunity’s reached its peak!

You become the balker.
The investment price makes you stop.
‘Well, wait awhile, just got a text,’
Says our mysterious mr. X
‘My supervisor is at my side
With a discount only he can provide.
You’re uniquely situated!
We can accommodate.’ You feel it’s fated.
‘Send the papers, here’s my card…’
Total transaction is not hard.

Everyone feels gratified
Until you need to be clarified.
X is off this week (or year)
And from him you’ll never hear
His money’s pocketed
You’ve been soaked
Buyer beware
Is never a joke.

This time of year you can find them along roadsides....get at least ten for your house!

This one is on the back of my commode, but I usually place them in bowls hidden in the corners of all my rooms...

See them hanging from the tree?

They will repel spiders for about 4 months.  Mice aren't too keen on them either, so I  place one on each side of my garage door...The fresh green will turn brown and will become hard in the bowls.
Toss them or compost them.

Wrestlin' With A Heart Attack

Blond and blue eyed in her jeans, gripping the wheel of her jeep,
Casting her eyes down my way, making my heart leap.
She passes by smiling, and tapping the horn, it beeps.
I’m on the side lines
with high hopes she’ll notice me.

Wrestlin’ with my heart, she hamstrings  me.

       I                                            that.
wrangle             wrangle
this, and

I’m                                  that.

~

Hallways are crowded, yet I feel alone of all things.
Books by her desk, she grabs her bag by its purse strings.
She stops to talk, and I am saved by the bell, it rings.
I’m on the side lines
with high hopes she’ll notice me.

Wrestlin’ with my heart, she hamstrings  me.

  I                                            that.
wrangle             wrangle
this, and

I’m                                  that.
all                        gine
a-twist. Ima-
~
I’m wrestling with a love attack.
She has me up against my back
She’s tied my heart.  There is no slack.
My hope is, she’ll notice me.

Wrestlin’ with my heart, she hamstrings  me.

 I                                            that.

So wrangle this, and wrangle that.
I think I’m whipped,

She’s tied my heart.
There’s no going back.

Obsession

Participating in ABC Wednesday - letter O. Be sure to check ou the other participants!
Never been sure what qualifies as "New Age" music, but this seems to defy any other genre so I'm calling it a New Age instrumental ♫♪

1. You are my future.
My past has been banned.
I see us together,
it’s all in my plan.

2. You hold my future.
At last you are mine.
We’ll grow old together.
We’ll have all the time.

Refrain:
Obsession is how I exist.
I live for your touch and your kiss.

3. Preoccupation is
fogging my mind.
My fragmented dreaming is
my treasure find.

Refrain

Stirring echoes of my dreams,
You are my theme
in the extreme.

4. You have your  own future.
I’m not involved.
Unfortunate timing,
my heart’s being dissolved.

Obsession is all that I have.
And that’s all I’ll take
to my grave.

Do folks commit this verse to memory anymore?  It used to be standard♫
Here's my meditation instrumental that follows the words of the 23rd Psalm.  Hope you enjoy.

The Lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.

He guides me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death
I fear no evil.
Thou art with me.

Thy rod and staff, they comfort me.
Thou dost prepare a table
in the presence of mine enemies.
Thou hast anointed my head with oil;
my cup o’er flows.

Surely goodness and mercy (loving kindness)
will follow me all the days of my life,
and I’ll dwell in the house the Lord,
dwell in the house of the Lord
forever

Nothin' Serious

A shy little love song for your consideration♫
Sung by daughter Angela
Participating in ABC WEDNESDAY letter N...check out other N posts!
Let me know if you can't get the music to play....May have to pull the cursor to the right to get it to load, it is kinda twitchy!

I’m just a little bit in love with you
And I’m telling you it’s tweakin’ my heart,
Telling me to pay attention.
I won’t allow anything at all to happen.

Just because you are a little on my mind
I can tell you that it’s nudgin’ my heart,
Causing just a small distraction.
I won’t allow anything at all to happen.

Foreign feelings are so appealing but

I’m tellin’ you I have everything under
my control, it’s nothin’ serious,
Nothin’ serious.

Just because I try to get close to
Steal a whiff of your skin, it’s nothin’ serious,
Nothin’ serious.

I am just a little bit in love with all you are
But I can keep it to myself and
Bother you not at all.
Nothin’ serious, nothin’ serious.

I’m just a little bit in love with you
And I’m telling you it’s tweakin’ my heart,
Telling me to pay attention.
I won’t allow anything at all to happen.

I can’t ignore all your charm you seem to share
But I’m telling you it’s winning my heart,
I have made my own decision.
I won’t allow anything at all to happen.

Foreign feelings are so appealing but

I’m tellin’ you I have everything under
my control, it’s nothin’ serious,
Nothin’ serious.

There’s little bits of you lodging in my brain
But I say again it’s nothin’ serious,
Nothin’ serious.
