Happy Thoughts

Bon Mots and All Happy Thoughts is the third poem in my book and third in my list of instrumentals found at http://lkazmierczak.biz/songs. My instrumental is light, fun, and hopefully, uplifting. Here's how it came into being....
Peter Pan, played by Robin Williams, tells his son "You are my happy thought!" That really resonated with me. My own happy thoughts center around my kids. Just this past Christmas my darling daughter exclaimed "This is the best present I never knew I wanted!!" and I smile every time I think of it.
It was his focus on that happy thought that gave Peter Pan the ability to fly.  J.M.Barrie conveyed just how important a happy thought is to our well being.  J.K.Rowling tapped into that idea as well when Harry Potter was told to conjure up a happy thought to dispel the dementors.
Whenever stress comes into your thoughts, because you are obsessing over how a bad scenario played out, I suggest you dispel it with a happy thought♫♪

Punctuation applications

Let's eat Grandma! vs Let's eat, Grandma! really shows the importance of punctuation.  Here's the story behind Asterisk, my second entry in my poetry book.  When I wrote the song Asterisk, I envisioned a whole series of songs using punctuations and symbols for titles and concepts.  I tried to make Asterisk rather celestial in the musical arrangement, and you should judge for yourself if I succeeded.
It would be a couple years later that I attempted Exclamations, found on page 48.  That entry is purely a poem, no song attempted.  There are still more symbols to be explored and maybe I'll get to them someday♫♥.
Here's a link to the song Asterisk: http://lkazmierczak.biz/songs

Friends who are authors

I am delighted to find that some friends have trekked down this same path as authors and are sharing some of their experiences with me.  My freshman college room mate Marilyn Em,  has a book through Author House titled

Amazing Spirit: A Tribute To Dad

which be downloaded from http://www.amazon.com/Amazing-Spirit-Tribute-Marilyn-Em/dp/1434317544/ref=sr_1_5?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1328475898&sr=1-5

Plus the husband of one of my Bunco buddies, Jeffrey Harold Utterback,  has a book titled

Swygert: Growing Up in the Middle of Nowhere in a Little Town Nobody Ever Heard of

Both are folksy, intimate looks at life growing up in a rural setting.  As I read these slices of life, I am taken back to my childhood days growing up on 200 acres, taking the deer trails down through the hollows looking for mushrooms, digging out fool's gold from the clear, cold streams that harbored shale, and exploring the sink holes and giant ant hills in our '46 Willies Jeep. Hmm, maybe I should write a book♫♥

Pasta Strategy

I have decided my marketing strategy is similar to cooking pasta, throwing it out into the internet and seeing what sticks....I have a Twitter account https://twitter.com/#!/LMKazmierczak, I have a Face Book page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ordinary-Words/152890348160541 besides my personal Timeline, my songs web page http://lkazmierczak.biz/songs, and I'm a member of LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/profile/edit?trk=hb_tab_pro_top . Plus this Blog. I am meeting all sorts of new authors and gleaning all sorts of advice. I think I've sold one book.
